Boxing – Carl Froch vs George Groves Betting Preview
Carl Froch and George Groves lock horns on Saturday 23rd November in what is one of the boxing fights of the year and definitely the biggest all-British clash of the year. The WBA and IBF Super-Middleweight world titles will be on the line in what is easily George Groves biggest ever fight. The fight will be live on Sky Box Office in the UK.
Groves has been very vocal in the build up to the fight, putting down many of Froch’s achievements, angering Froch in the process, there is now some real needle in this fight and many are predicting a Froch knockout.

I believe that Froch is going to win this by KO, Froch has a strong dig and has knocked out a few people at world level, he has found it slightly tougher at the very top level to get rid of some of the elite fighters in the division, but I don’t feel Groves is in that class.
Groves has been hurt a couple of times in his career and was in a world of trouble against Kenny Anderson in their 2010 Commonwealth title fight. Anderson put Groves on the floor and just couldn’t quite finish things off before Groves bravely came back and stopped Anderson.
Froch also claims to have put Groves down in sparring with 16oz gloves on, so there appears only one way that Groves could win this fight, by staying on the back foot and trying to nick a points win like he did against James Degale. If you do fancy Groves to nick it then 13/2 at Stan James is a decent enough price.
I just don’t feel that Groves will have enough to stay away from Froch’s power for the whole fight and think there could be a Froch KO by around 6-8 rounds, if not sooner.

The rounded group betting is one of my favourite markets, often there is a bit of value and I think this is the case here. My fight prediction goes something like Groves dancing around for a few rounds, probably frustrating Froch at range and maybe nicking a few rounds. I then see Froch starting to connect after a few rounds and think Froch will finish the fight between rounds 4 and round 9 as I don’t see Groves’ chin standing up to any sort of punishment.
